Education
Our congregations' change to a ministry concept has sparked some positive changes in the congregation including our Education Ministry. Lyle LaPlante is the deacon who lead this ministry.
Adult classroom now upstairs: Some teachers expressed concern that the auditorium was unsuitable for a class for several reasons. Since we have some members who cannot attend downstairs, we created a classroom upstairs, the first room on the left.
New class for pre-schoolers: God has blessed us with a number of small children who need a lot of attention and room, so small class sizes are in order. We now have three classes that meet upstairs on Sunday morning. The cradle roll has been divided.
The Library was moved: Several members wanted a better resource library large enough for materials and more technical resources. Work is being done to upgrade the books and tapes and install a computer to access the tremendous Bible research sources available online.
What can you do? We need more adults willing to teach our children. Teachers and helpers are always needed. Some of our teachers have not had a break in years. They love what they do, but we need to share that joy with more people. You don't need any special skills or training, just a willingness to share your love for the Lord with children so eager to learn.
